For the 338/06, passing on a charge of 50 grains of 4064, will give an MV of 2500 fps...
with a 200 grain Hornady SP, a 225 grain Hornady SP, and a 250 grain Hornady SP...
and will also have pretty much the same POI at 100 yds...
I kinda like that flexibility.. you can guess what I shoot in my 338/06... You and Gunner500 about convinced me to go with H-380 in the 338-06. It’s worked well with 180’s to 225’s. I use Varget with the TTSX 160. I do have 4064, use it in buds .416 Rem. DF

I've used it in my 257 Roberts, but not much. I acquired 2 pounds of it some time ago and haven't used much until last weekend. I loaded up 9 rounds for my wife's 22-250 with the CCI 200 and a Winchester 55 gr. PSP. 35.5 grains looked really promising, but I started to see a little ejector mark on the case head. 36.0 grains saw it a little bit better, but the group was really good. I"ll load them up again and try them when the weather is cooler. It was 92 degrees last Sunday and that may have had something to do with it.
The lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part!

I use it in the 7x57, .30-'06, and 8x57. I usually use other powders in those cartridges, but when I use IMR4064 that is where I do.

4064 is a good old powder, accurate.
IMO, there are better powders now available. I like Big Game in my 7-08, like Pharmseller's loads, groups and dead critter portfolio.
H-100V is a velocity winner in my .257R with 100's, and top accuracy,
4064 will work in a bunch of applications, optimal in some, such as the .416 Rem.

I also like it in 35whelen with 225g Game Kings. It’s a real deer thumper on deer at 2700fps in a Remington 7600.

Works great in my .35 Rem. with 200 gr Sierras. Recommended powder in the Sierra manual, tried it and I see no reason to change.

22-250, 243, 25-06, 260 Rem, 7BR, 30BR, 308, 30-06, 303 Brit, 358 Winchester. Maybe a few more. Might have been tried unsuccessfully in a 9.3X74, I forgot the results. Be Well, Rustyzipper.
