I'm mostly a simple el cheapo traditionalist shooter but like to shoot my compounds some. Have become somewhat fascinated with LR shooting accuracy and what it takes to achieve it. What do you long-rangers consider the most important factors involved in accomplishing it?

I don't shoot past 50-yards myself. Is that "long range"? It is for me.
Not sure which is "most important", but these have to be on list: 1. Draw weight that you can hold rock solid. 2. Arrows that are identical. 3. Practice to develop consistent form

Bow well tuned and each arrow shooting true or tuned to. Beyond that to me its mechanics.
I used to shoot out to 100. I won't shoot at game past 15 steps. Too much chance of them moving and the arrow not hitting where I had the pin.
But I did enjoy shooting long.

Constant form is the most important factor. A perfectly tune bow, arrow and all are not effective if the shooter changes form shot to shot.

SO true, yet if the bow and arrow are not tuned form means almost nothing, so it is a combination for sure. For me as with firearms, make it as accurate as you can, then I KNOW that its gotta be me that needs improving.

All the above but add follow thru to form. You can have beatiful form but peeking or dropping your bow arm will ruin the otherwise perfect shot. Add reading conditions just like with a firearm.

Most believe form ends at the release. Not true but a common misconception.

Good form and a surprise release. To me, shooting at long range is no different than shooting at short range. I use the same shot sequence and form. Only real difference is walking 80 yards to pull arrows instead of 20.

Only real difference is walking 80 yards to pull arrows instead of 20. You are doing it right. But at 20 you get away with a lot of slop really. You can. Its one reason I like long range shooting period. Any weapon. Its great practice, to get good you have to get good. And it makes the short shots seem like gravy.

there is another factor besides true form when shooting long distance archery. your sight needs to be level tuned to the string also many bowhunters never do this and it does make a difference.
