Classic Select and 84L I believe are 2 different basic model rifles.

Phil No sir. Kimber offered the Classic Select in the 84M, 84L and the 8400. The action length differs between the three. https://www.kimberamerica.com/classic-select-grade84L is the model, Classic Select denotes the grade of walnut. Kimber offered a lesser grade of walnut simply call the Classic, sans ebony foreend.

Beautiful rifle, with darker lumber than commonly seen on Classic Selects.

Don't see it. Shows 4 models of the 84L, none of them the Classic Select. But I could be wrong.

Everything said above is correct. I am mainly interested in a kimber long action 84L, preferably 270win or 280ai. Classic select preferred, but would consider the classic as well. They made blued and stainless for a while, just blued version now. Now who’s got one they are looking to sell, with real nice wood?😃
