Early life
Howard Allan Stern was born on January 12, 1954, the second child of Ben and Ray (née Schiffman) Stern, in the Jackson Heights neighborhood of Queens in New York City.[2] Stern's parents are Jewish, and their families are from Poland and Austria-Hungary.[2]

He is a piece of crap, always has been! Yep. I used to listen to him and laugh with the rest of them. I read his book (or 2?) in the mid 90's. I listened to him from... I dunno, mid 80's until around 96? 97? Through it all, I had some good laughs. But through it all, make no mistake, he was a complete and utter douche and got douchier as time went on. Less funny, more mean. Like Letterman, but "better" or "more" in every way.
Quit giving in inch by inch then looking back to lament the mile behind ya and wonder how to preserve those few feet left in front of ya. They'll never stop until they're stopped. That's a fact.

People still listen to him? not many. the ones that do have to pay for it so that really limits the pool in his demographic
They say everything happens for a reason.
For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.
