This is as good as it gets on the Lancers............I bought a bunch over the last couple of weeks. They are marked as cosmetic BLEMS, but I can't find a single flaw or mark on them, if can use 20 rounders. Lancer 20 round BLEM MagsMM You just cost me a little over $70 with tax and shipping.... damn it.

Anyone have experience with plastic vs metal mags in sub freezing, snowy conditions as to reliability? Metal freeze up more so than plastic? Plastic become more brittle?..or...

My favorite mags by far are Colt 20 rounders, not sure if they are still available

Colt never actually made the 20 round mags. They were made by Universal Industries/Okay Industries. See the link to them I posted earlier.

I’ve always been a fan of the aluminum G.I. mag, I have a few dozen P mags which I like, definitely quieter. Lancer, I have heard they are top notch I have to pick a few of them up check them out.

I have always had good luck with the Okay Industries/NHMTG/Surefeed brand.

PMAGs are scientifically proven by Pic Arsenal to be the most reliable AR magazines available.
That said if you have a decent AR most all current mags work fine for plinking or other light usage.

I've got a Bushmaster marked 30 round mag. But I doubt that Bushmaster (or any other firearm manufacturer) fabricates their own magazines.
It's just not cost effective to set up and manufacture mags when someone else already has a line set up to make them.

PMags for me, if the cartridge is 5.56 based.
I like Lancer's 300 Blk magazines too, and they have them in 20rd versions which I prefer.
I use ASC and E-Lander mags for the Grendel and SPC based cartridges, but would prefer Pmags or Lancers most of the time if they were available (they aren't).

Found a couple of those to try. Along with 20 rnd PMag G3 5.56 and 30 rnd D&S 5.56 (at $9.99 today at PSA). (Shipping notice within 2 hours!) Not promoting doom and gloom, but, just in case.
