Glad I could help guys. Spent a fair amount of time in his shop outside of San Antonio and always had a lot of respect for Mr. Bridges.

These older rifle quilds are getting farther and farther in between.

I’m pretty excited to see the stock. I have a 70 7mm WSM that needs to go on a diet. Shoots incredible in the laminate but too danged heavy for packing. The Bridges should work excellent.

J Earl was about as nice a fella I’ve spoken with in a long time. No issues at all and an Old Marine which never hurts the mix wink

You fellows who ordered a Bridges stock, any updates?

Not a bad turnaround, actually. Does he do the final fitting and bedding as well, or is that up to the buyer?

That’s GREAT. I was about to call but we’re both probably in the same boat.

Interesting J Earl and I grew up in the same town.He was a few years older than me.I left there about forty years ago and looks like he did too.I knew he was kinda into good shooting guns years ago but didn't know he had made a business out of it.His Dad was a farmer,I guess he must have been like me too.Not the way I want to live the rest of my life.I put a lot of days on the farm when I was young but it didn't take too long for me to realize there are other ways to make a living.Good to see he made a business in the gun world.

As Bob Hagel would say"You should not use a rifle that will kill an animal when everything goes right; you should use one that will do the job when everything goes wrong."Good words of wisdom...............

I know these are a good option for a M70. Anyone know if one of his stocks could work for a CZ550?

Hoping mine comes in close to 8# scoped with Talley LW.

Joe, dunno, never seen on a CZ, but give J. Earl a call. Easy man to talk to once you have his contact info! grin

That's my plan once they are spooled back up again. I have a Supergrade sitting here with a 2 contour Krieger...

That's not a bad turnaround time.
