Didrikson had many talents. She also competed in sewing. An excellent seamstress, she made many of her clothes, including her golfing outfits. She claimed to have won the sewing championship at the 1931 State Fair of Texas in Dallas; she did win the South Texas State Fair in Beaumont, embellishing the story many years later in 1953.
Not to many women can sew anymore.....

I bought my wife a $5000 Baby Lock sewing machine for Christmas. She loves it. She can certainly do it ALL!

Bo Jackson hands down before he ruined his hip. He said "White Athlete"! I was buddies with Bo at Auburn and still see him at games once every year or two or for Bo Bikes Bama. He's a good guy -really. From an athletic standpoint, he is from another planet. Only Jim Thorpe is in same conversation. He was faster than anyone on the football team AND the track team in the 60. He could throw the football further than any QB on our roster (witnessed that). Set AL HS decathlon record while playing HS baseball - meaning he didn't practice anything but the pole vault (told me himself). Saw him broad jump a 14' ditch carrying a bow and full hunting gear with just a one step hop AFTER his hip was replaced. Bo said the only person in the NFL that ever beat him in a sprint was former Olympian and Raider teammate Wille Gault - and Gault would not give him a rematch. STories go on and on. White- Black-Indian Asian. It's BO.

White- Black-Indian Asian. It's BO. I was a paramedic when Bo went pro. That same year there was a hotshot rookie linebacker from Oklahoma named Brian Bosworth. When the time came for Bo's team to face Brian's team we were watching the game at work. Paramedics spend a lot of time watching tv. Us white guys were mostly cheering for Brian and the black guys were cheering for Bo. Bo destroyed Brian Bosworth in that game. On one occasion, Brian "tackled" Bo on the 15 yard line, he got on top of Bo's back, and Bo just gave him a "piggyback ride" in to the end zone. Looked like an uncle giving the little nephew a piggyback ride. I think Brian might have gotten depressed after that game because he didn't last long in pro ball, weird, because he was All American in college. I did see him acting as a guard in The Longest Yard remake.

Who is it? Had this discussion with a couple of friends, and we came up with nothing. This has already been established and raised here before and ignored which is customary on the 'fire. The best sportsman athlete who ever lived was Sir Donald Bradman. He is the only man who was better than the best number 2 who ever lived. There is no other sportsman in history who has established that margin of superiority. You may proceed to ignore this fact again.............

You could make a pretty good TV show out of trying to find out.
Have the competitors do the NFL combine, Olympic decathlon and maybe a triatholon to top it off. Oh and some powerlifting or strongman stuff. That sounds like that old TV show Superstars with celebrities doing all that stuff. There was a sports version of that for a season or two.
