Got any recommendations on who to rebarrel a no 1?
This is my dads old 22-250. It ain’t gotta be a bench rest shooter just to get him back on the coyotes and hogs within say 300 yard. And he probably will not want to drop a lot of coin on this’
Thanks

Not wanting to drop a lot of coin, eliminates a lot of barrels and gunsmiths. Rebarreling is a place where I’d not cut corners. But it his money.

I have my own re barrel project. Changing a Ruger 1B 3006 to ???. Leaning towards 257 Weatherby or 264 Win Mag. I found this gunsmith. I have not sent rifle yet, but spent some time on the phone with him. Will be sending my rifle later this summer. http://www.leveractions.com/RugerNo_1.htm

Send it back to Ruger maybe? Thatd be the cheapest route, if they still have the bbl you want.

just buy another used 22-250 Ruger #1and sell the one you have might be the cheapest way. but it just might have a bad carbon build up and your rifle might still shoot good enough if you get the carbon out ? P.M. me and i can explain it too you over a cell phone.
