Remake? No please Dear God! After seeing what they did with Magnificent Seven and 3:10 To Yuma, I’d much rather leave Kelly’s Heroes alone. Drama and acting gets replaced with computer generated explosions and massive amounts of gunfire.
But for crying out loud, leave the classics alone. 7mm THIS And the pretty boys in Hollywood nowadays wouldn't have a clue how to do it right.

This is likely the best topic on the ‘fire in a long phuqqin time.
So, let’s pretend there was a remake. Who’s who?
Paul Giomatti is a shoe in for Crap Game. Hands down.

Yup only Giomatti can do Rickles.

You are showing your age remembering that movie. Classic

Loved Kelly's Heroes forever. Must be a long time, because it started before I knew what a schmuck Sutherland was.

A neighbor who saw a fair bit of action during WWII claimed it was as close to real life as any movie he had seen. He claimed that at 20 years old ideas of Liberty, justice and freedom didn't mean much but the concept of getting to the next town "before the Germans left with all the booze, broads, and loot" was very understandable. He also claimed his unit was full of oddballs and misfits so always got the worst assignments as higher ups didn't care if they came home.
It is one of my favorite movies, so many went on to be seen in other films. Anyone recognize Uncle Leo from Seinfeld?

That movie had a great cast in it. I would hate to see a remake because the stars would not be as great as the original.
I have the DVD on this one.
It came out in 1969 if I remember correctly.

Awesome movie, I can remember watching it at the drive in theater. The only movie I can think of that had more star power in one movie is the movie "Its a Mad Mad Mad World."
Writing from the gateway to the great BluMtns in southeastern Washington.
Just remember, "You are the trailer park and I am the tornado". Beth Dutton, Yellowstone.
