Which has more value a stainless or blued 1895 GG ported, JM stamped barrel. If both in the same condition.

Depends on buyer...
I am not interested in any ported Guide Gun.
Maybe the GS if I found another at a real good price.
I am sure you will hear from others with opposite opinions.

the stainless generally brings a couple hundred more from what i've seen.

Some hate the ported.........some prefer it..

Do a search on Gunbroker for closed ads to see what actually sold. I find that Gunsinternational is a better site with more realistic prices.

If I was going to sell one of my guide guns, I would want more out of a stainless one.

In general, stainless is always more expensive and in Alaska, I would think that would be even more the case.

I would be curious to know the numbers for blued Guide guns vs stainless so far as production.
I know that way fewer Model 1894 guns were made in stainless. I found it odd that Marlin never made the Model 1895 in stainless. Just the other variations.
