I have some light, 30 cal ttsx bullets to try out. What would be your "go to" powder for a 30'06 with 130 grain bullets? Shots won't be over 300 yards max so long range ballistics are not a concern for this scenario. Thanks for any feedback.

I'd consider looking at the Barnes data for this cartridge/bullet combo: https://www.barnesbullets.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/30-06Springfield.pdfI'd be looking at trying to drive them at 3,300 fps. 748/BL-C(2), 4064, Varget, RL-15, 760/414 would get a look from me. I don't have Big Game or I'd give it a try. This bullet works well in the .308 Win and I've killed a couple of deer with it in my T/C Contender carbine .30-30 at a MV of 2,500 fps.

RL15 or Ramshot Big Game would be great.
I got excellent results from the former & the Hornady 130 GR.

I'd use 4895 4064 Varget but at 300 yards any medium burn rate powder up to 4350 would work well and the on game perfomance of that bullet would be outstanding. It's an excellent bullet in the 308 out to 400yds at 3100fps.

I've never tried the TTSX before but RL15 worked great for me with the 130gr TSX. I also had good results with IMR 4064 but the RL15 was a little more accurate so that's what I went with.

RL15 is what I use with the TTSX, it’s pretty accurate and good velocity. I might try IMR4895 next though.

Thanks for all the input, I have R15 , Varget and R17 instock. The R17 velocity looks enticing but not sure how the accuracy may be....

H-4895 and IMR 4166 have both worked very well for 125 grain A/bonds and B/tips in a couple of 30/06’s. In one of them the 130 Triple shock and H-4895 have done the trick on many deer.

Not sure about 130s, but you might try long grain crunchy metering IMR 3031. About 50-52 gr @ >3000fps shot the Sierra 125 to same point of impact as upper midrange 150 loads in a few 06s I used to have. An old friend used it to kill some deer too.
