I think he may be nervous/preoccupied about this and worried it is going to blow back on him. You know how he loves to play the race card. The other thread with the shooting in GA that is all over the news lately. The GA shooting is tailor made for him to go trying to play the race card.

But I googled henry louis gates obama statement & michael brown obama statement & trevon martin obama statement. I find lots of stories on those where he was running his mouth.

I don't think there will be any legal consequences for him personally, he is protected for the reasons above, but there might be for some in his administration. In order to reveal the truth about his administration Republicans must retain the Senate and hopefully regain the House.
