All smithing work was done by Patriot Arms. In hindsight, I would have gone with the adjustable comb HTG or a Manners MCS-T. The front ringmount had to be flipped to get proper eye relief (after this pic was taken) and the stockpack had to be used to get comfortable comb height. I may go to a scope with 40mm obj and try to go down a ringmount height. Still working up loads for 140s and 160s...she's a pussycat to shoot from a bench/rest.
That pic is 18 months old, currently wears a FXIII 6x42 wide duplex matte, with an elevation turret, in Talley low mattes. Oh and I've swapped out the factory trigger for a new XMark Pro trigger
Have really liked that rig since the first time I saw it. What's the barrel contour? Is the forend getting kinda thin towards the top of the barrel channel? How does it shoot?
