I've got a great load using 41.0gr of Varget, Fed 210 and Hornady brass. I shoot it out of a M70 Fwt (22"). It's only about 2675fps, but groups really well.

R17 has treated me well with 150 BTs in the 7-08. Mule Deer's Chapter on the 7-08 in the Gun Gack Book listed the same load as I've been using with nearly same velocity.

RL17, Big Game, or W760 work well with 150/154. The plastic tips eat up case capacity when loading to 2.800 OAL, which hinders getting enough H4350 in the case.

Lots of good advise above.
I'l also consider Imr-4895, RL-15, and CFE-223:
Cartridge : 7 mm-08 Rem.
Bullet : .284, 150, Nosler BalTip 28150
Useable Case Capaci: 46.679 grain H2O = 3.031 cm³
Cartridge O.A.L. L6: 2.800 inch = 71.12 mm
Barrel Length : 24.0 inch = 609.6 mm
Predicted Data for Indicated Charges of the Following Powders.
Matching Maximum Pressure: 59000 psi, or 406 MPa
or a maximum loading ratio or filling of 108 %
These calculations refer to your specified settings in QuickLOAD 'Cartridge Dimensions' window.
C A U T I O N : any load listed can result in a powder charge that falls below minimum suggested
loads or exceeds maximum suggested loads as presented in current handloading manuals. Understand
that all of the listed powders can be unsuitable for the given combination of cartridge, bullet
and gun. Actual load order can vary, depending upon lot-to-lot powder and component variations.

43 loads produced a Loading Ratio below user-defined minimum of 70%. These powders have been skipped.

Whatever shoots best. My 7-08 preferred H4350 over Big Game or Varget.
Brad curious if you had any crony data, guessing that was your 22" Kimber? Temp? Thanks.
I think the 150 BT is a gem in the 7/08......... I see Noz now makes the AB in the 150, should be a nice combo, though at these speeds on impact the 150 BT may be very similar on game. I may be the exception, but would likely prefer the AB to a PT.

I use Big Game but my 150 is an eldx. Elk and deer don’t have much time to argue, they’re too busy tipping over. 2790 or so. P

What's the go to powder for this combo? Thinking Big Game and H4350. Thanks,
Here's what I use! Big Game powder! My 7-08 loves the 150 NBT. Of course it likes RL-16 as well...

Hodgdon is showing some pretty fast velocities with the new StaBall 6.5 in the 7mm-08. Anyone tried it yet?

I’ve not chrono’d it but 40.5grs of H4895 shoots really good from my LVSF with the 150 NBT.

My 708 experience with 150s was with the Sierra MKHP, used the suggested accuracy load in the manual and it shot very well. Great accuracy above using newer powders, and solid speeds. The 150s are often overlooked but deserve more use, especially on larger game and/or longer ranges. Good info.

Reloader 19 worked well with 140’s in mine.
