I've had PM's from a couple of good folks lately, telling me they are avoiding the forum at least for a while.

Too much negative talk, and plain rudeness.

I can't blame them.

Meh... It happens.. Easy to just avoid the morons and deal with the rest.. Although the epitome of ahole+rudeness is the Twig... Why he's still allowed on this forum is beyond me...

That’s happening all the time. Different people have different levels of tolerance and it’s too bad cuz the place suffers when we lose good guys.

On the other hand it’s the innerwebs. Ya just can’t take it that seriously or it’ll burn ya out.

There are some great folks here and good amusement. Just gotta be willing to separate wheat and chaff, as with any group of people.

Rudeness has indeed become pretty standard here. I tend to ignore it, and address only the core of what the rude poster is asserting.

Internet forums are much like small towns in that over time as they grow larger and larger in population lose more and more of their civil, friendly, atmosphere.

It was pretty clear that he was talking about the good guys.

then maybe they need to find another forum that is more to their liking.....there is stuff on this forum that I don't care for to much....all the praise god stuff......lets have church.....make a sound out to god.....etc.


I just don't read it and if I do I usually don't comment …..its an open forum....click on it...or not....tell the good folks to grow a set and quit being baby's……..bob

I think this is fake news. There aren't enough good guys on the Fire to support the idea of a trend.

The coolest feature this forum has is it offers you the ability turn off anything you don't wanna read with just a click.....

Or you can read away and then whine about what you have read.....

It is like a menu. We have complete control over the choices we make. If we have had the chicken before and know we don't like it, we are idiots if we keep ordering it. Hell, this menu will even let us remove chicken from the choices.

Nothing new.

Lots of good folks have left.

There's some bad eggs here, and I know some don't care for the hell I give them. But this place is pretty much self moderated. If some good guys don't say anything, the fox will be in the hen house for sure.


Sometimes it's best to ignore the genuine trolls. You know the ones... SAC, Beans, Piddler, and a dozen more. They are probably even the same guy that changes sockpuppets regularly. If Rick ain't gonna do anything about them, ignore them to death.

I dont know about that analogy. Here we can smell the chicken, it's right in front of me, saying click to taste. Other websites do not have the chicken right in front of you. Here, we taste the chicken and it's like vanilla. Smells great, tastes like bungholio.
