Last winter, my wife needed a new warm coat. We happened to be near a Duluth Trading store in Colo. Spgs., so we went in and she tried on some coats. Found one she liked, that fit her well. It was $200, marked down to $150, so we bought it. She has been very happy with the purchase.

I wear their Flex cargos exclusively for work. Very light and comfortable but very pricey......

"Pricey" is relative. Compare a $3000 Kimber with a Hi-Point pistol and see.

Where is their clothing made? If I'm going to pay premium prices, I don't want to be supporting the Chinese clothing industry. GD

Some of their products are made in the USA, I know there's a option for that on their jeans.

I like their shirts for us tall guys. Tried the firehose pants once, hated them. They ripped easier than denim, managed to somehow seem both hotter in the summer and colder in the winter than jeans to me. I threw my fire hose pants away.

Wife bought me 2 of their shirts for Christmas. xxL tall. sleeves were shorter than a regular shirt and they look to be the quality of an 8 dollar Walmart shirt.

I do a good deal of chainsaw & lawn work, and handyman type work so I’m hard on them.

Carhartt’s “Rip-stop” cargo pants are a complete disappointment. They should call them Rip-Start instead. I love their design, and they fit me perfectly, I even like the feel of them, but the durability of the fabric is absolute garbage. I’ve tried three separate pairs ‘cause I like everything else about them hoping it was just a bad run, but no luck.

Not when they dont last.

Maybe they last well for the leisure squad.

Duluth Trading Co. made some good stuff 20-25 years ago. I quit them when they moved production to China in the early 2000’s. Then, a couple years ago, I decided to try their Alaskan Hardgear wool boxer briefs. I liked the idea of wool, they were on sale and made in Thailand (not China). In March 2018, I set aside my cotton underwear supply and began rotating 16 pairs of wool boxer briefs. 10 pair from Duluth and 6 pair from others. The wool garments were well cared for, washed in Woolite and hung to dry. None of them lasted 2 years. They are very comfortable, but fall apart and come at an extremely high price.

Prior to this experiment and probably like many of you, in my old cotton underwear supply—for comparison— there were 20+ year old briefs still floating through circulation.

The stuff is good but for me it isn't worth the asking price.

They seemed a bit pricey until I actually tried some of their gear. It's comfortable from day one, cleans up well and doesn't wear out quickly. Their Fire Hose pants are a favorite for work.

They make some really nice flannel shorts and underwear. I haven't tried their pants. Watch their website for sales.
