Most any good story well told about three dimensional people is a good movie or TV series. That's what makes the Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Ozark and so many others so great, the characters are complicated and not one dimensional. Some of the most boring and tepid movies or TV shows are where you know exactly what and who everybody is and how they will behave in the first minute they're on screen.
Except porn, that's acceptable in porn...

Another oldie but goodie on Netflix right now is There Will Be Blood.
That movie rules.

“The Town” was another decent flic with Ben Affleck and Jeremy Renner.

IB, If you like Jack Ryan, try Homeland.
I just finished Homeland and overall I'd say I liked it but some of the craziness of the main character got to be too much. I about quit part way into it when I realized I was out of my seat cheering when her own people shot her.
If you like action but not as much as a John Wick movie, then Banshee is for you. It has one of the best fight scenes I've ever witnessed, this side of the playground.
2 things for certain here, neither you or the choreographer of that phony scene have ever been hit in the head.
The voice of experience. Son, you can get hit in the head too many times.
Some good actors and acting I thought. Storylines a bit implausible at times, but Claire whatshername played the Carrie part well I thought.
That said, glad to move on to something else now.

Watching Britannia series on amazon it's pretty good.
