Need to clear some trees on an old acreage I bought. Have a Stihl 026 and want a larger saw also. Seeing if any Fire members have a good older saw they would be willing to part with..

I wouldn't trade an 026 or my 260 pro for much of anything! Great saw that just runs and cuts.

A cheaper one that gets good reviews, the Echo Timber Wolf. CS-590. Rated as a bigger saw.

I have a saw fetish and make my living with a saw.

The best saw under 70cc for the $$ is the echo 590, but stick with a 20"bar.

I just got my dad's old Stihl Farmboss. Things huge next to my husky! I remember dad getting this saw back in the 70's, maybe earlier.

Great advice from DrGnarr. Here's a little 372 porn.

If you're a Northern Tool member they have some pretty good deals on most brands at good prices and free shipping for members.

Here's a 3.62 HP, 24" bar, Husqvarna Chainsaw — 24in. Bar, 60.3cc, 3/8in. Pitch, Model# 460, for $519.99 w/free shipping.

Then get it ported and a muffler mod and you’ll be super happy!

you will be happier with a pro saw rather than a homeowner saw, for instance your 026 is a pro saw.

Home Depot cs590 Timberwolf with a 20” bar is the most bang for the buck by far. Out cut my Stihl MS 291 Farm Boss without a doubt. $399 and chains are readily available. When my Stihl took an early powder & the dealer said buy a new saw - I said I sure as hell will it will be the Echo that kicked this one’s ass for $150 less.
