Jim, I'm not sure if the 8" twist model is still being made by Tikka. If I'm correct, the RAR is still offered in an 8" twist. Additionally, the Browning X-Bolt is offered in a 9" twist and a left handed configuration.

Circling back around on this. I want to try some Speer 75 gr Gold Dots with the Tikka. Has anyone tried these and what is your load? I have RL-15, H414 and RL-16 to try.

75 gr. Hornady short barreled rifle (SBR) TAP bullets that were surplus at MidwayUSA. They're not in the Hornady bullet catalog. Midway listed them as 80 gr., but they actually weighed 75 gr. They're designed for the tactical .223, should be pretty effective at .22-250 speeds. So far, haven't shot anything yet, too many other projects.

They really grouped well in my 8 twist Shilen .22-250. Not too sleek, not my choice for long range. Should make quite a "dent" in the biggest hog..

I have some 75 gr Gold Dots loaded with RL-16 that I'm wanting to test in Lapua brass. Once I do, I'll post results here.

Last time I checked, Tikka didn't have a factory offering in 22 Creed.

Good results for me with H414 and the 75ELD-M. I want to check it for pressure this summer when it gets hot. May also play with RL-15 and H4350 just to see.

David, the 22C reamer is reported to clean up the 22-250 chamber *if* you wanted to bother.

It wasn’t a Tikka, but when I was shooting an 8” twist 22-250, it’s favorite load by far, was R15 pushing the 75gr Amax to 3200. That load would should sub 3” 5 shot groups at 700 yards. It was amazing.

That's impressive.
