The king asked the royal weather
forecaster the forecast for the next few hours.
The palace METEOROLOGIST GUARANTEED THERE WAS NO RAIN IN THE FORECAST AT ALL

So, the king and the queen went fishing. On the way he met a man with a fishing pole riding on a donkey, and he asked the man if the fish were biting.

The fisherman said, "Your Majesty, you should return to the palace! In just a short time I expect a huge rain storm."

The king replied: "I hold the palace meteorologist in high regard. He is an educated and experienced professional. Besides, I pay him very high wages. He gave me a very different forecast. I trust him."

So, the king continued on his way.

However, in a short time a torrential rain fell from the sky. The King and Queen were totally soaked.

Furious, the king returned to the palace and gave the order to fire the meteorologist.

Then he summoned the fisherman and offered him the prestigious position of royal forecaster.

The fisherman said, "Your Majesty, I do not know anything about forecasting. I obtain my information from my donkey. If I see my donkey's ears drooping, it means with certainty that it will rain"

So, the king hired the donkey.

And so, began the practice of hiring dumb asses to work in influential positions of government.

And thus, the symbol of the democrat party was born.

The practice is unbroken to this very day.

i googled it :

As nouns the difference between dumbass and jackass is that dumbass is (us|vulgar|slang) a stupid or foolish person while jackass is a male donkey.

As a adjective dumbass is stupid, foolish.

As a proper noun jackass is (poker slang) a jack and an ace as a starting hand in texas hold 'em due to phonetic similarity.
As a verb jackass is (rare) to behave very obnoxiously.

What if the mule's daddy was a horse? Would the mother be a jackass?

Jack Ass, Dumb Ass and also Democrat are synonyms.

All jack asses are donkeys, while only half of donkeys can accurately be described as a jack ass. The other half are jennys.

Damn, I learned two new things today. Never heard of a Hinny. The whole mule thing is weird to begin with. I'd take it that a mule is bigger than a Hinny? Or are they basically the same beast. I was never around donkeys and horses too much.

There are many differences in the characteristics of the hybrids. Mules can be larger. This is often the case because large draft horse mares and the largest "Mammoth" jacks are used as brood stock.

Mules born of smaller riding stock mares are not so large. We had a neighbor who kept a herd of fine Tennessee Walkers and a large jack. He raised and trained riding mules. They were fine boned, attractive, well behaved riding stock.

Mules are most easily identified by the large donkey like ears. A henny will have small petite ears like a horse. The only hennys I have been around were of small stature, but I have no idea of the lineage. It is quite possible they were bred from a male shetland pony and a female burro. Both, horses and donkeys come in various sizes and their offspring will reflect their lineage in that regard.

In politics a Jackazz is someone without MEC.

Conscience
In other words, a Democrat.

Let’s not even get into mammoth mules! Jack crossed with draft mare. BIG mules.

Thanks for the great explanation. I knew a guy back in the day that was into coon hunting. The guys in his hunting group would ride mules. He said his mule could go anywhere he wanted it to go.

But Nancy Pelosi is the face of the Demorats. I always thought she was a horse's ass?

I always wondered how the Democrat Party got their symbol. Now I know.

I didn't know the how and why, but I do know this:

Democrats using the Donkey as their 'symbol' degenerates horses, donkeys, mules and jackasses.....
