i bought the lastest model (no recall needed) used a couple of years ago for a steal. after i discovered that the carbine kits are unobtainium i shot it, cleaned it and put it away. while the beretta is very well made, my favorite go-to 22lr pistol became the handier ruger sr22. anyway i was looking over the neos with some other safe queens to sell on consignment until the flu lockdown hit. i coincidentally stumbled onto some inexpensive oem magazines on ebay and viewed some favorable utube reviews. so i’ve decided to give my neos a second chance once shooting ranges reopen. any thoughts and opinions on your experiences with the beretta neos?

I had one. It was a horrible POS. Bought new at a Cabela's. They wouldn't allow me to dry fire it in the store. My mistake #1. The trigger was like 60 grit & broke at different weights whenever it felt like breaking. It didn't shoot anything very well. Shotgun patterning was a better description than grouping. It wasn't the loose screw behind the trigger either. Several folks tried it at the pistol club with the same results. I stoned some of the really ugly machining marks from the trigger mechanism which smoothed it immensely but it still would not shoot anything resembling a group. It's gone, sold to a vendor at a gun show that just had to have it even after full disclosure of the above. Good riddance. Another guy at the pistol club had a stainless one that worked very well. I dont know which is more representative & really dont care. I wouldn't own another if it was a gift. YMMV.
