Back when I was about 4’ tall we were living next door to Palm Beach AFB and the Thunderbirds put in a show with their brand new F100’s. End of the show they flew by in a diamond formation over the runway about 50’ off the ground and maybe 200’ offset from the crowd. Supersonic. Ba-BOOM!
I may have grinned for a week.
