I run some Arlo 2 & Arlo 3 cameras. The system is very convenient and easy to install as totally wireless operation is possible, just turn them on and hang them up using the supplied magnetic mounting system. Video quality is so-so, it's adequate but it could be a lot better. The Arlo 4 should provide much improved video quality.
Battery life on the version 2 & 3 cameras is excellent and I hope version 4 will be similar in that regard. It depends on how many times the camera is activated by sound or motion, but with zero activations the batteries will last for 4 months or more between charges, and positioned in a area where it's recording 20-40 events each day the battery still lasts well over a month between charges. The cameras can also be hard wired if longer run times are necessary, but that does make installation more difficult.
