Looking at building a custom rifle on a Rem 700 action. Any reason to not use one of the newer low cost SPS Rem 700 rifles for a doaner action??
Thanks

Brownells has some new Remington actions on sale last week. Including a stainless version. It crossed my mind to get one and hang on to it, just in case a new idea popped up I needed to fix. kwg

Thanks guys. I had looked at the Brownells option and there are some NIB actions on GB as well. Decent price but no recoil lug, mag box/follower or floorplate. Didn’t chase down those costs but doubt it’s a deal if not more expensive.
