from the UK. Invasive gray squirrels carry a virus that is fatal to native red squirrels in UK. Efforts are under way to reduce their populations. Squirrel hunters there use techniques similar to U.S. deer hunters. They put out feeders(pheasant feeders) , smaller, lower to the ground, to ambush the grays. Shotguns are the weapon of choice.

They also note there is a hemoragic disease that is wiping out rabbit populations in the U.S. Anyone heard about this?

Haven’t heard about the rabbits in the USA.

What species, what area(s)?

I haven’t heard that. I could stand to eliminate squirrels here.
