We have already spent a little over 2.4 trillion on the stimulus for Covid-19 measures, estimates on the drop in GDP are anywhere from 30-45%. With the US GSP hovering around 20.5 trillion on the low range of the estimation of 30% drop that is costing around 6.15 trillion.
That is a real loss by the end of this year of 6.55 trillion dollars.
At the worst case estimates "if we did nothing" 2 million US citizens would die.
If there was no more Covid deaths as of today that would mean under the worst case scenario we would have saved 1.9 million lives at the cost of 6.55 trillion dollars.
We are talking 3.4 million dollars per life here. Or another way to put it this has cost every American 20k
Now, maybe I'm callus but I don't see anyone taking out 3.4 million dollar loans to save a family member and I certainly don't see anyone of these mask wearing dumb asses forking over 20K to people on the regular.

Guess what two ton Tina. Syphilis and popeyes chicken will getcha long before the covid has a chance.

Matter of perspective, if it were me or mine then I would say incalculable, if it is some prick stealing what is mine then I would say it is worth nothing.
These are my opinions, feel free to disagree.

It will be interesting reading over the next ten years discovering what the facts actually are. My observation is the people most scared of the COVID killing them have the least reason to keep living. The masks are a great indicator of the high percentage of 'sheep' we have in the population .

Curious question. Everyone is born with a death sentence.
Your job Mr. Phelps, is to have the best life you can.

In the public health arena, generally speaking society accepts a range of $50K - $100K per quality year of life protected. In other words, we are willing to spend $10M to keep a 58 year old male alive til the average life expectancy of 78. The 'quality' adjustment factor means we are willing to spend more to save a 10 year old than a 77 year old. There are several publications on the topic, but essentially, we are spending much more on COVID interventions than we are willing to spend on other public health remedies, preventions, or cures. I have yet to see a study showing that our COVID costs are in line with the generally accepted range of $50-100. Some assessments are putting the costs 250X what we normally spend. It may be an unethical concept to put an economic value on human life, but, we have been doing this for years and it really is generally accepted. Here's one summary: https://www.forbes.com/sites/theapo...fits-of-covid-19-lockdowns/#3cdc17206f63

Are you a government employee?
