At one time both actions were 6mm PPCs. Now there both 6mm Dashers. I had them rebolted and this is what I got back from kelbly's. As you can see from the serial numbers. I've had them awhile. Finally all done. 12 pound light gun for Ridgway. Panda Action. Kelbly 1M stock. Bartlien Sendero 1-8 finish at 26. Nightforce 42x. just squeeks by for the 12 pound class. Testing at 500 yards.Pretty cold that morning. Alpha brass with .080 flash holes 105g Hybrids and 205M primers. H4895 and Varget seating depth test. 141 rounds fired as of this last test session.. Im just waiting for some warmer weather to finish up my final tweek. To bad all the matches are canceled this summer.... dave

To give you an idea of how I came up with the powder charges i used. Ladder test to determine verticle. Shot at 500 yards. Ladder test with dashers dont need alot of paper.. Im reloading them now. Ill wait for it to warm up some before i run it again. Ill end up with Varget. Its not a bad place to be. dave

When you run it again will you use more than one round at each charge weight?

What’s with the three shot groups? Ten shot groups are the only way to prove your rifle shoots!!!

Not for a huntiing rifle. It's the first shot that really counts. If you can get three shots inside an inch and a half you're golden.
But those aren hunting rifles. They should put 10 shots in one raged hole/

I know nothing of the Dasher other than it's a slightly lengthened BR. What does it offer that the 6mm CM doesn't? Is it inherently more accurate?

Dashers are not as well thought of now that the BRA has won a bunch of 1000 yard aggs. The Dasher is still very capable.. It would take a very talented reloader gun crank to get a CM to shoot with a BRA/Dasher. dave

It will be group shooting from now on. Ill be testing in warmer weather and checking my primer pockets. Anytime you can shoot under a inch at 500 yards. Your liven right.

Love that Teddy Action, you don't see many of those around any more !!!!!!! Hope Kelblys was kinder to you than BAT was to me for the re-bolt You might also want to try RL15, was slightly more accurate than Varget in my current barrel

Hope Kelblys was kinder to you than BAT was to me for the re-bolt You might also want to try RL15, was slightly more accurate than Varget in my current barrel Its pretty amazing that you can send in a 32 year old action and get a new bolt for it. I did a new bolt for a different Teddy a couple years ago and thought it was made of gold. ...price. I bitched and they did give me a deal on the two up top. Guess it helps when you do two at a time. They have always treated me pretty well. I have three Teddies. Kelblys has no plans to make new ones..I asked. Eventually im going RBLPRE. It speeds things up alot. I have no problem sending in my panda and getting the right eject port added. ie another new bolt will be needed......... I will not do that to a Teddy. I dont have any Rel15 but I did try some Norma 203-B. not at 500.It didnt look to bad. If the Varget holds up Ill most likley call it a day and save the barrel for Ridgway. dave

Did you try any Reloader 15? If not you owe it to yourself to give it a whirl. I have a Dasher that shot pretty good with Varget but really came to life with the Rl 15.

Yep I just got a Dasher this winter. As I knew Varget was in short supply I worked up a load with RE15 32.5 grs at about 2870. A little slow compared to some of the Varget loads I have seen but it shoots 1/2" MOA to a 1000 yds. And I dont have to worry about overpressure in the heat or the rain. Used 4 lbs so far this year just got a 5 lb jug the other day.
I've always been different with one foot over the line.....

Nice project. I think I am reading the ladder tests correctly, is there anything other than vertical you are looking for?

Dave,
Have you worked with N-135?
Just because I am wandering around doesn't mean I am lost.

takman, I have not used N135.In the Dasher. Years ago I mixed 133 and 135 and ran in it a 6mm PPC. that was a long time ago. dave.
