....he's dead. Bank it.

My neighbor suffered an unprovoked attack at his father's house. Father's new woman friend had the dog at father's house. Father and son were in the kitchen. Dog came charging in the kitchen. Did his best to fend the dog off. Lost a toe and most likely his thumb will have to be removed. The man works on his feet with his hands both at his day job of a linesman and tending to his chicken houses. His teenage daughter could have easily been the victim, and probably would have been killed. I am livid.

A life changed because of a damned dog. Sorry to hear this, Man.

These stories with that breed are all too frequent.

It was a "rescue?"

I was surprised by Ingwe's comments on rescue dogs.

I tolerate strangers to minor degree when they show up at my door. Bulldogs die on the spot.

What did he say?

Seems like there are no bad dogs....only poorly trained dogs.

Unless they are a rescue.

Agreed on the rescues. But I hate most any dog.

My neighbor told me yesterday that a pit bull from on down the road had his roping horse cornered over the weekend. He don't want to be "that neighbor" and finally ran it off. I am waiting for it to make it's way up the hill to my place and bother my wife's horses. I don't mind being "that neighbor". It will never return home alive, but I will be nice enough return their property to them just so that we understand each other.

I missed Ingwe's post, but agree.

Almost every rescue dog I know of is damaged.
I'm sure some are great, but many have been so abused or
neglected that it's very difficult to fix them.

I liked that last dog I had.

These current two are januses.

for the record....i have probably grossly misrepresented Ingwe!

We have one member on here that’s killed over 200 pit bulls.

He won’t post any pics or reply to me though.

Funny how county-run shelters are often pushing pit bulls on their ads and billboards.

The theory that poorly trained pits are the only ones that attack is horse [bleep].

You ever seen a retriever that doesn't retrieve?

A pointer that doesn't point?

A hound that doesn't sniff?

A herder that doesn't herd?

With enough training maybe you could discourage these traits, but you'll never get rid of them.

I dont know if I have ever seen a pit bull........seen a heeler take off a kids nose once.

Yep, heelers drive cattle by biting them, they tend to be mouthy.
