My grandson called and said, we have three inches of snow in the high country! Get up here we just crossed two sets of cougar tracks, heading out to follow. Pick us up on the cutoff road at five. I'll take my rifle and go hunting now! Bye!!

No the snow was mostly gone when i got to the area to wait! All they had when they reached my truck, was a shirt full of morels. They said the morels were thick on the edge of the old logging area! Ill go look tomorrow while they work!

Lots of snow fell on the mountains around Boise last night. Looks like from about 8,000 feet down to around 5,000. None at our house at 3,000 feet, but it was cold. Supposed to be cold again tonight and it is drizzling now.

Sounds like your weather is a few hours behind ours. Looks like the same front!

Yep. I'll bet all those campers from this area of s.w. Idaho who went up to the mountains on Friday for the weekend were in for a rude awakening. It was 95° F. here Friday afternoon. Bet most campers forgot to take a wool shirt and down jacket. Flip flops and tee shirts more likely. grin

Heym, snow at my house today.

rain, sleet, graupel, 1/2 hail, and even a little sun.

Maybe I need to go look for some morels up the hill?
