Had a load of chopped hay heading for the buildings and noticed a doe and fawn off in the distance along a field edge. On the way back to the field for another load I decided to investigate. Entered the woods and put a sneak on the area. Saw some movement ahead and stopped with camera ready. Soon a wobbly fawn appeared and I snapped a surprise candid camera moment.

Mommy showed up and yes the fawn is in the picture, too.

Yes, the fawn picture is outstanding.
I would blow it up and frame it.

Cool photo. One year a doe "hid" one fawn in the long grass about 10 feet from the edge of my lawn, another about 75 yards away. It was fun watching for a week or so; they would sometimes get up to stretch or shake rain off their heads, and she would come back to feed them, individually, several times a day.

Not many get a chance at a photo like that. Be great for the front page of a calendar.

Thanks for sharing that.

Great photo. Is there another fawn laying down behind it? You can see the same color between it's legs. Maybe it's twin?
