Walmart doesn't participate in "free market capitalism". They practice crony capitalism of the worst sort.

Above link to a short segment at the beginning of the video about your point. It even goes beyond crony capitalism to the same model that made David Rockefeller billions by scheming with the communists the last part of the 21st century to buy Monopolies.
The corporate gt does not support free enterprises, but benefits the huge monstrosities buy stealing from the middle class. You know this Ethan, but those who go no further than fox in the hen house news think we are all playing the same game by the same rules.

There are two opposing varieties of free market capitalism. One is globalist and the other is nationalist. Those who oppose globalist notions of free market capitalism, and favor nationalist free market capitalism, tend to be critical of Walmart for undercutting American industry by stocking their shelves with cheap Chinese goods, which are cheap because of the slave labor used to make them. All while our national industry is hamstrung with over regulation in the face of competition from China which is basically operating with none of those restrictions, thus making it nearly impossible for American industry to compete. The solution that nationalist free market capitalism advocates desire is what made America an industrial super power to begin with, i.e., equalizing tariffs.

Thanks for the insightful writeup... but that doesnt have anything to do with his bitching about changing the store hours, the rise in beef prices (everywhere), nor walmarts choice to put guns away during the riots....

Such a smart man you are... you overlooked the whole freaking point lmao...

No flames, just another perspective.

I can't find the story right now, but the Walmart owners were in the top 10 who benefitted world wide from the first month economic shut down. While most of us were unemployed and many under house arrest with absolutely no due process, the owners made multiple$BILLION$ in one month alone.
Was it because of a FREE market?
I think house arrest euphemistically called Sheltering in Place give them a little advantage.
Closing small stores that had been started and run by a middle class couple, by executive Fiat, ie. Martial law dictatorship by fat wicked gov-ignors who say "You are Non-essential....close down, shut your pie holes and stay home or my soldiers will steal more of your $!
Most of the time it was said more tactfully than that, but the same results from the same dictates.

THINK about it.

I avoid Walmart as much as possible, sometimes I have to get oil there but that is it anymore. The corporate leadership of Walmart is full on retarded.
