Yeah, the last price reduction was sizable. I have one in 7mm-08. I would be bidding if it was a 243.
The magazine capacity on these is 4 vs 5 in a standard 270. They slimmed the whole thing down through the action. Makes it nicer than the new Featherweight Compacts, on my opinion. Very svelte.

Yes, always liked these. Very nicely done, simple checkering. The older ones with a 1/2 red pad could be swapped out for a 1” pad for a more conventional LOP. This looks like a late production by the black pad. Probably has the Williams extractor vs MIM and possibly a 1-pc bottom metal.
