Hello all,
I just acquired a Marlin 1894-357 Mag. It has a straight stock with a honeycomb recoil pad, rectangle lever and an 18.5 in round barrel with un-hooded front sight. Gun is in amazing shape, would estimate 98%. Also has the JM stamp. I did a serial number check and it appears to have been manufactured in 1981. Based on the above, what do you Marlin guru's feel it's worth?

Marlin as in most gun sales are soft........
recoil pad added ?? Prob for LOP increase
An unmolested pre safety...in the Marlin sellers market a few yrs ago
This handy carbine easily brought $900+
Today ? Good luck......$700 for quick sale at best with added pad
Remove pad & put original butt plate on if UR looking to sell

I bought my late 70s pre-safety in good but cosmetically blemished condition. Some stock dings and a worn spot in the blueing. Paid 700 last year.
Now consider it to be much more valuable.
