Hi Jerry. I have a LNIB Sako(s) 85 in both 7mm-08 & 25-06
My asking price is higher than what you are looking at spending. Don’t think you will find a Sako for under $950.

I have an old L579 Sako I bought used back in 2013. It is an a fiberglass stock of unknown make on it. It is a .243 AI that is very accurate with 80 grain Rem PSP handloads, the only component I ever loaded for it. Unknown total round count but the rifling in the throat appears sharp still. It has bluing wear and some light speckles that formed under the camo paint on the barrel he had painted the entire rifle with. With reloading dies, brass, and scope rings I will ship (insured) it all for $650. The bras and dies would ship separate from rifle. Let me know if you are interested and I will dig it out of the back of the safe and take some photos of it.
The only trades that would possibly interest me would be a Sig p365xl, a Winchester SXP Marine Defender Pump Shotgun, or a cz 457 rimfire of some sort with some boot up or down to make us both satisfied with the deal.

Should be able to find an older sako forester in that price range in the standard stock. 243 is a very common caliber so doesn’t hold as a high a value. I have one but it shoots too good to sell.

I guess you aren't interested in my .243 A.I. so the offer is withdrawn.

How does the A7 hold up to the Foresters and such? They are a different animal. I would prefer a forester over an A7. That being said I’m sure they shoot great. I have a newer tikka that shoots great. Should be the same barrel. Just depends what kind of hunting/shooting you are doing.

Open to about any Sako ... budget is $500-850 ish I just sold a 75 FL the other week for $850. It was in excellent condition, shot like a laser and the bolt was fluted by Karl Kampfeld. Doesn’t help this case, but as a reference you should be able to find one. If you get a 75 in III size action, I have a like new McBros stock in Black, Orange and light Gray if you’re interested. Never been bedded.
Regards, Nick- Georgia
