I recently bought a KOWA 3-9x42 scope and im curious if anyone has any info on these. I know that their spotters and binos are top of the line but how were their riflescopes that were apparently made from the late 50s to around 1980. It is mint condition and original box paperwork if that matters. Thanks

I have a 3-9x and a 4x. I bought a rifle with a Bushnell ScopeChief of the same vintage (I'd guess 60's) and they are the exact same thing. Seem clear, haven't used them. I would google vintage ScopeChief, you may find out something that way.

I have several scopechiefs. Really like them and the fine reticle. The kowa has the post reticle in it. So did kowa make bushnell and bousch n lomb or was it the other way around. I know that kowa scopes weren’t sold in the us because some of the contractual obligations they had to companies that they provided flourite crystal glass.
