Drew a late season cow elk tag and two doe antelope. Didn’t draw deer or elk but those areas are high demand with low chance of drawing.

My wife and I drew deer tag in area J. We had success there for 20 years with no points!

Did Wyoming reduce the number of tags allocated for deer and antelope? And if so, is there a link to the reductions by unit?
Thanks

So after studying the draw odds is my reasoning correct? We will use antelope in unit 1 as an example. The random draw non resident quote is 31, random draw non resident special is 19, and the random draw resident is 200. Then we look at preference point drawings and see that preference point non resident is 95 and preference point non resident special is 59. Adding those numbers together we get 404. Is that the total number of antelope licenses for unit 1?

Moose General deer General Elk 2 antelope.
Congrats on a moose tag. Reckon even WYO residents don't draw that very often. Stuck out here. Only chance was the random special NR draw.

Congrats! Do you mind sharing whether it is a cow or bull tag, the area, and how many points it took? We just about trip on them in the Snowies. One just smashed a picnic bench behind the cabin this past weekend.

Is that the total number of antelope licenses for unit 1? Unit 1 antelope had 250 Type 1 and 150 type 6 tags for 2020. Wyoming will over issue to fill a party app also which is probably what happened. Tag quotas for many antelope units were reduced this year and a few were increased. The quotas were available on Wyoming’s website I think in late April/early May. Also especially in the antelope draw many units saw massive increases in the number of applicants this year as well as many people using many points on units that the year before took far less to draw. Seems to me many people wanted out of the points game this year.

Drew all 3 antelope, both doe/fawn deer, and cow elk. Missed antlered deer limited quota.
First time back hunting in 5 years. Feel like I'm starting over.
