Coming back to Corpus from Rivira Tx, hit a pretty good thundershower coming into Bishop tx, came over an overpass going about 60-65 and hit the water at the bottom of it looked to my left while I started hydroplaning and saw a tractor-trailer did some pretty fancy driving for a 100-150ft. I might need new tires for my dually.

I was once told hydroplaning couldn't happen to a heavy truck.
Never experienced it loaded.
One day I was running with another driver, both empty. Cruising up US 17 in Virginia, or was pouring and the roads were flooding. About the 5th deep dip of hitting the water and skidding several feet sideways, I told the other guy I'm slowing down. I don't like this. He replied, "I was hoping you would, I 'bout chit myself back there".
Yep, it's scary.
And yet, we don't slowdown when we know we should. We wait until we scare ourselves!

Yep looked at the radar a while ago and saw some heavy rain moving North right down 77.That's some scary stuff hitting that water going that fast,especially with worn tires.Glad you made it OK,that's the kind of stuff that kills people.
