If I didn't already have a Montana 300WSM, I would be jumping at this. I have shot a 270WSM, seen it take down a bull elk and studied its ballistics. For what I do, it is likely closer to what I need than the 300WSM. However, I've had the 300WSM for a decade and love it.

I briefly stopped by the Calgary Shooting Centre on Sunday while picking up a shotgun for my instructors kit. On the used rack they had a Kimber Montana 270WSM, with matte black cerecoted steel, wearing what appeared to be a Zeiss 3x9 scope on it. Price? $1200. I would pay that for the rifle alone. With the scope and mounts, that is great deal.

If interested, give them a call!
