That barn does look incredible.
All BS aside, the man is like an Einstein/Frankenstein/Otherstein/Drunkenstein.  Worked at places including MIT, builds his own giant 14K square foot barns, literally by hand, can hold his own in a whiskey drinking contest with the likes of me, DVD and STX and is pretty good at killing ducks and catching tuna? That's a pretty rare fuggin' bird, yo... I'm scared of the water and whisky makes my face feel warm and my stomach feel icky.

I’ve been slammed with this huge move from New England to the Midwest.
This barn is only 6,000 sqft w/o the mezzanines (16’ and 14’ ceiling on the first floor and 10’ ceiling on the second. I designed and built it myself. It’s sided in white pine that I felled and sawed on site. The doors on the gabled end pictured are 16’x12’, and 8’x8’. They are 3” thick. That side is 58’ long overall.
The Barnegat Bay sneakbox is patterned after an 1887 patented design, but made of fiberglass. The duck boat on the ground is a Megles made by the famous Wisconsin sailboat maker.
KG’s linguini and clam sauce was fantastic and a treat after 10 days of zone perfect bars and the occasional steak!

That’s fantastic. Awesome boats. What a treasure. Post up some more pictures of the Melges when you can. I met Buddy about 20 years ago while duck hunting in Manitoba. Neat, neat guy.
