Well I guess you could consider him one if his late decision to reopen the Hilary email investigation (based on the emails found on Weiner's lap top) helped to cause her to lose to Trump. Wasn't his intention, but it's nice to be lucky every now and then.

As Logger mentioned above, Comey's reopening the investigation of Hildebeast so late in the race certainly got Trump some votes. Perhaps enough to secure his victory.
Yep, in that respect Comey may well qualify as a hero. He may well have saved the Republic.
