I like all the bad press Alabama gets from the media because it keeps people from coming here. Got great hunting on my farm and plenty of beef cattle if my hunting is off. 😀

My buddy dropped off his Kennetrek boots to be re-soled at the outlet store in Bozeman. That store is pretty damn cool.

Actually we made big loop yesterday. Whitefish, eureka, Rexford, Libby, Kalispell and back to whitefish. You didn't go to Yaak? Nice little, fairly remote, hamlet on the Yaak river, NW of Troy. When I step back and look, the amount of growth in the Kalispell, Whitefish, and Libby area, over the last thirty years, is astounding. Even more surprising are the number of new homes in some of the backroads areas. Pretty crowded up, for sure. GD

And anyway,..when any of them Pacific coast whiffenpoofs move to Kentucky they get sucked in (pun intended) by the homo community in Lexington. You wouldn’t last two years in rural Montana. Fortunately for me, I won't have to. The place sounds dismal enough without an influx of commies from the Pacific Coast schitthole cities. By the way, how long did you last in Montana? I’m amazed the farm hasn’t killed you yet. LOL

LOL I'm counting on the urban refugees believing that any place is better than Kentucky. Judging from what I'm hearing, Montana is way up on the list in places to get hit by the hoards of commies flowing out of the Pacific Coast cities. I hear that the state is getting a new motto, in fact. "Montana! It's not just a concentration camp for conquered Indians anymore!"

There are too many people in the world and that's a fact. Pretty hard to find a place to get away from them. Everywhere we go, it's just the same. Places which used to be a peaceful retreat are filling up with subdivisions. Of course, by building our campground, I didn't help our situation any so I shouldn't complain. GD Try Scobey. Actually pretty good advice. My home town. Just to get everyone up to speed, Granrud's Lefse Shack has been in Scobey for a while. Scobey and Opheim are full of great down to earth hard working conservative regular folks. Living in those places is light years ahead of living in any democrat run city. Did I mention, the hunting, fishing and trapping is fabulous. And the winters keep the riff-raff out.

Watch out for the blacks! That should keep some folks away. Is your State an 'open range" state. Cattle, sheep, horses, llamma, mules, etc get to go anywhere they want in our county, and a few others here. If you want them kept out of your flower beds, you best build the dang fence yourself. And there are rules as to what type of fence even. 4-5 strand barb wire and/or substantial enough to keep cattle out. I bet some folks will be really happy if they move on to their 5 acres of open range when the cows are off it, only to set up housekeeping and have the cows come back at greenup to eat all their posies. ( I know of instances of this happening on a friends ranch in AZ)

Not so bad actually, no humidity and it always cools off at night. My dad always thought the weather was just fine to work on the farm. ;-{>8

My wife was born in Scobey.

I always enjoy going east of 89 in Montana. It's like a time warp, both the places and the people. Not a lot of excuses to be pretentious, or un-neighborly. Word gets around quick. And if it doesn't, you'll make a mistake and the environment will deal with you that way.
