Why don't you try asking in a more appropriate forum such as reloading for Big Game Rifles:

I don't get on here that often and it took me an hour to find where I could even post any thing any where. I thought in the past when I posted it ask where I wonted to put it, but this time it did not. They could make this sight a little simpler.

It's not that difficult.

Scroll down from the main forum page (up at the top of this page, click on "forums")

Find the reloading section.

Look for the Big Game forum

Open that.

Look to the upper left for new thread.
Click that and post you question.

If you are interest in those bullets performance on game, you might also try posting in the Big Game Hunting forum. Maybe even the thrid forum down "ask the gunwriters" or whatever it's called.

Good luck.

That a heavy bullet. It should knock fire out of whatever you hit.

I use 300-grain gas checked cast bullet in my 375 Whelen. I'd bet it would drop anything on four feet on the continent. The best part is it's really cheap to shoot.

I shot some 300gr Barnes Originals long ago. Have to look in my load book to see what powder I used. I still have some somewhere, never shot any game with them

I was pretty impressed looking at a box of 35 whelen hornady super performance.
200gr bullet at 2910 fps.

Almost adds fuel to the fire for the mod 70 ot6 rebore at JES.

I have been shooting Speer 220gr. and Nolser 225gr. bullets. I have not shot the Speers over the chronograph but my loads with the Noslers out of one of my rifles is 2600fps. I have some Sierra 225gr. to try with cfe223 powder, Sierra's new manual list it with a max velocity of 2900fps. I all so have some Speer 250gr. to try with cfe223 powder, their new manual list it with a max of 2664fps. They both should make some good loads.
