Been working out of town and stayed over the weekend. Momma came down Thursday.

Floated a little 6 me float on the Elk River in SW Missouri yesterday. Caught 1 smallie and a bunch of sunfish.

Good trip, only rolled the canoe once!! First time for everything.

Drove over to Roaring River to catch a few rainbows today. Ended up w 13 or 14 landed. All on a 1/64 oz marabou, yellow and black in color.

Son of a gun. That’s a cool picture Jud. Hate to see them eat the young but nature’s gotta eat to, but danged are they some efficient killers.

Ya man, they outlawed the use of hounds in 96', damn things are thick!!! Problem is, the country on the westside, "where I live" is so damn thick you very seldom see them. We're allowed 2 a year, tags are cheap, but boy they're tough to get!!

I grew up in similar habitat on the west side. Only saw a few in person but knew they were out there. Had a few chase dogs back to the deck....we got lucky.

I was gonna say, getting one without dogs is about like winning the powerball.

So much for science based management to keep ALL herds in check. Cool to see the pic though. Thanks for posting it.
