Got a '70's vintage B78 with the factory heavy round barrel. It came without rings/bases and am looking some. I'm familiar with how the factory supplied them (two different height rings).
Anyone got any alternatives they've used?
Thanks!

I seem to remember someone here saying that they bought some Talley mounts a few years back, but the search function here wont go back that far. It looks like Conetrol still lists them, but they are pretty spendy. Only other solution I know of is to watch fleabay. They pop up there once in a while.
IMHO people who take rings and mounts off when they sell a rifle should have their fingers broken.

Talley still makes them. Conetrol are really nice but agree on the pricey side. Not sure if they make a round barrel version of the quarter rib but for an 1885 the talley rib is one of the better options.
