I doubt many are out there in circulation. I find it interesting that the stainless superlite is 22.5 inches long and the chrome moly green/black is 24".

My non-magnum Tikkas have 22 7/16” barrels.

My non-magnum Tikkas have 22 7/16” barrels. My T3x SS SL in 6.5 CM is 24”
All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

As for the one the OP is asking about, I had one in my hands a month ago and it was 22" . Had it been something other than 308win, I probably would have bought it..
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

I’m torn, I want a 308 to try the 155 Scenar, I want a 708 because I really like the 708 and I would gladly snag a Creedmoor but I’m not crazy about the 24” barrel.
Decisions, decisions
The 308 having a 22” barrel makes sense because the stainless is 22”.

The longer CM barrel on the Superlites can be chopped off maybe 2" inches. The flutes stop well short of the muzzle so it could be done pretty easy.

In saying that, if you don't already have a 7mm08, it is a great compromise between the CM and 308. If you are like pharm, you can have one or 3 in every chambrering. Ha ha.. Speaking of 7mm08, this is how mine shoots second time out: I'll work up a good load for it soon...

I have one great shooting 708 but having a 2nd one isn’t a bad idea.
Great shooting.

I really like the look of that. I’d like to have a .308 or 7-08 with a 20 inch barrel, but that is probably only offered a compact model.

You will never be sorry you bought a Superlite or regular t3X in 308.
