I just saw a blurb on the internet that today is blackout day and everyone is encouraged to spend money only at black owned businesses. How many are actually giving in to this? I hadn't planned on buying anything today but in response to this new demand by the 13%, I placed rather large orders through my LGS and ordered some upgrades for my Jeep. The shops getting my money today are not black owned. Think I'll have Mexican for dinner, tonight.
When they stop looting and destroying the black owned businesses in their own neighborhoods, perhaps this kind of idea may get more traction.
Any thoughts?

If I don't care what color the owner of a business is any other time, why would I care today? Don't my actions other days speak louder than one day of virtue-signalling?

I’ll support black business only day as soon as they support white business only day, and then we can have Asian business only day and on and on. All in the so-called name of ending racism and being a color blind society.

We got a hell of a slug problem in the garden.

In Amarillo TX I have no idea if there is a black owned business that I've ever been to. I'm not in the habit of asking the race of the owner in the first place.
