Wanting to trade my Bartlein 6.5mm 4 groove 8.5" twist barrel blank in a 2b contour.
This blank is 25" long, 1.200" diameter shank for 2.75" long, tapering to svelte .600" at the muzzle.
Weight is 3 pounds, 6.2 ounces. Finished weight at 22" should be under 3 pounds, depending on cartridge.
Looking for a Bartlein 6mm 7"- 8" twist 5R barrel in a 2b or #3 contour.
Or the same specs in Krieger 4 groove #3 or #4 contour would be considered.
I would be willing to buy outright as well.

Trying to get an idea on the contour vs a 700 magnum....is it heavier/beefier, same, or lighter?
Thanks....

Thanks for the link. Last question, what is the diameter at say 20 and 22.5" - Thanks Aalf.

What is the diameter at say 20 and 22.5". Taking 3/4" off the shank, will leave 1" for threads & recoil lug, and 1" of shank showing ahead of the lug...... Diameters at each length: 20" - .645" 21" - 635" 22" - .620" 23" - .600"

I have what you need if only it was a Bartline, 7 twist 5R #3 contour blank. Only problem is it's too cheap a barrel to grace one of your rifles.

Aalf, is that a lighter than typical 2b at the muzzle? I’d buy it off you outright if i had not just sent a 2b off to the gunsmith last week for a light weight build.

This 8 1/2" twist will easily stabilize a 140 Berger VLD.......

The reason I was looking to trade rather than sell was so I wouldn't take a big hit on selling outright, and then have to order & pay full boat for a 6mm.
Bugholes has them in stock, and their price is $355.00 plus $15.00 shipping, plus 3% for a credit card fee.
Asking $345.00 shipped on this one.
