Has anyone seen or used one of these brakes? It seems like having only ports in the muzzle end of the brake, without any on the side, it would work to eliminate adding any noise to the shot. They do state it offers a 25% reduction in recoil, without the side ports I can see why recoil reduction isn't as high as some other designs, but I think a 25% reduction, WITHOUT adding any noise, is a good deal.

The “quietest” muzzle brake that I’m aware of ......is one, never placed on the muzzle of a rifle! grin memtb

Those are called linear compensators.
