I had to respect Joe Gibbs coaching the Skins back then.
I don't want to slight George Allen, a great coach. Those old school coaches would not put up with todays crap from players.

I was down to watching only the Cowboy's including pre-season, and then just regular games until they lost and have not watched the superbowl in many years. I missed a lot of games this past year and won't go out of my way to watch a game this year if at all. I miss the NFL from the early-70's, watching Dallas @ Miami and others under Landry. It's so silly, because if the founders of the team thought it was insulting, they wouldn't have taken that name for their team. They chose it because they associated it with strength, determination, warrior spirit, etc., and that's how everyone understands the name in association with the football team. Therefore, it cannot be a racial slur.
