That sounds pretty cool. We won't have time to hit it this trip, but I'll file that away for future reference.

Dalhart is neck and neck with Green River Utah as places I wouldn't want to live. Green River UT........... arm pit of the earth......... fuggin truck stop on I 70 is all NFW its armpit of the earth. No place in the US rates that level of derision. You want armpit? Try Lagos or Rio or Calcutta.

It's been pretty dry. The wildflowers haven't really taken off yet. I hope this gives them a boost.

Great pics! Congrats!
I'm pondering driving up to NY State next month to deliver puppies and visit kinfolk, the last time I drove that far in a vehicle was seven years back, and that was 36 hours with two drivers, I have no real idea how long that 1,800 miles would take me by myself. I'd probably make it a 3 day drive if I did it. Back to back 900 mile days would be brutal. I was thinking the same thing. +/- 900 miles from here to my hunting spots in AZ. Day and a half driving, well, usually a night and half a day with a 4-5 hr roadside nap in the truck. Birdie, enjoy the drive with the pups.
